Born in Bogotá, Colombia, I could imagine younger me’s face if I told them we ended up being a CD in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I entered advertising in my home city after university and I fell in love with the business. That was until I fell out of love with it and quit to start my own studio. However, that’s where I refound my passion, collaborating with NGOs, government entities and the UN on social-impact campaigns for farmers, public programs, and education. That passion is what brought me back to advertising, and more notably, thousands of miles from home to Dubai. Arriving with zero English, I started on extra-hard mode. I came full-circle at Leo, back to where I started my career. Then I took the leap to be a founding creative at ‘And Us’, Dubai’s most successful indie agency even to this day.  Which led me to M&C Saatchi where I made some of the proudest work of my career for Burger King, Puma and other clients. We brought home the agency’s first GPs at Dubai Lynx and a flurry of other awards across the globe. I became a juror at Cannes in the film category, ADC, Loeries, PHNX and Dubai Lynx. So that begs the question: why leave? Well, sometimes life throws a challenge at you that you can’t help but want to bite into. So I moved to Saudi Arabia to be (at least to my knowledge) the first-ever female CD in the country’s history. Not only that, but I joined an agency that had only existed for a number of months. And that’s where you’ll find me now, at my desk at what has now become the #1 independent agency in the MENA region. Still pushing myself the extra mile. Still caring about the work every single day. But above all else, making my mom and my grandma proud.
